Project Overview
Ispahani Tea Limited required a Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) material handling solution for its new Tea Blending & Packeting Factory at the Gazipur Tea Factory, located at ITL Campus, Moiranbazar, Bashura, Gacha, Tongi, Gazipur. The project covers the supply and installation of four Man-Down Electric VNA Forklifts (Seated Type) for warehouse operation.
For this project, the selected configuration is the Zwll VDSE16, a seated-type electric VNA forklift with a triplex mast and free-lift arrangement. Each unit has a rated load capacity of 1,600 kg and a stated capacity of 800 kg at 11 metres. The maximum lifting height is 11,000 mm, with a 600 mm load center.
The warehouse application required a truck that could work inside narrow storage aisles while still reaching high rack levels. The final specification supports a minimum stocking aisle width of 1,650 mm for a 1200 × 1000 load condition. This makes the VNA truck suitable for high-density racking layouts where aisle space needs to be kept compact.
The mast and fork arrangement is designed for high-level pallet handling. The truck has a mast lowered height of 5,185 mm, free-lift height of 4,000 mm, and mast extended height of 12,185 mm. The fork can rotate through 180°, allowing pallet handling on both sides of the aisle without requiring the whole truck to turn inside the narrow rack lane.

The forklifts are equipped with an 80V / 450Ah lithium battery and electric drive system. The specified driving speed is 8 km/h loaded and 9 km/h unloaded, while both lifting and lowering speeds are listed at 400 mm/s. The braking arrangement includes regenerative braking and an electromagnetic parking brake.
A key part of this project is the guidance and visibility setup. The final work order includes a magnetic guidance system, 400 metres of magnetic tape, a double viewing system, an electric fork, and camera support with both a fork camera and left-side camera. These features are included to support controlled operation inside the narrow aisle environment.
The seated operating position also makes this configuration different from stand-on VNA trucks. The operator remains seated at ground level while the forks work at height, making the truck suitable for repeated pallet handling within the warehouse.

What We Solved
At Ispahani Tea Limited’s new Tea Blending & Packeting Factory in Gazipur, the warehouse needed a material handling solution that could work inside very narrow aisles and still handle pallets at high rack levels. A conventional forklift would require more turning space, which would limit how closely the racking could be arranged.
For this project, the solution was a fleet of four Man-Down Electric VNA Forklifts (Seated Type), selected specifically for narrow-aisle operation and high-level pallet handling.
Working Inside Narrow Aisles
One of the main challenges was aisle width.
The final VNA configuration can operate in a minimum stocking aisle width of 1,650 mm for a 1200 × 1000 load condition. This makes it possible to use a tighter warehouse layout without depending on the wider turning space normally required by a conventional counterbalance forklift.
The truck also uses a 180° rotating fork, allowing pallets to be handled on either side of the aisle while the truck remains positioned inside the narrow lane.
Handling Pallets at High Rack Levels
The warehouse also required high-level storage access.
Each VNA forklift has a maximum lifting height of 11,000 mm, with a rated capacity of 1,600 kg and a stated capacity of 800 kg at 11 metres.
This allowed the material handling solution to match a warehouse layout built around both narrow aisles and high racking, rather than solving only one of those requirements.
Keeping the Truck Controlled Inside the Aisle
At this type of aisle width, guidance becomes an important part of daily operation.
The project therefore includes a magnetic guidance system together with 400 metres of magnetic tape. The guidance system helps the truck follow the defined travel path inside the VNA aisle.
The final configuration also includes:

These features support the operator when travelling and handling loads inside the narrow rack area.
Better Visibility for High-Level Handling
When a pallet is being handled several metres above the floor, direct visibility becomes more difficult.
For that reason, the selected trucks include a fork camera and left-side camera, along with the double viewing system. This gives the operator additional visual support during pallet positioning and narrow-aisle movement.
This is particularly relevant in an 11-metre lifting application, where the operator remains seated at ground level while the forks work at height.
Electric Operation for the Warehouse
The forklifts are powered by an 80V / 450Ah lithium battery. The drive system uses an 8 kW AC driving motor, a 22 kW AC lifting motor, and a 1.5 kW steering motor.
For an indoor warehouse application, this gives Ispahani Tea Limited an electric material handling setup without depending on an internal-combustion forklift for this narrow-aisle operation.
The Result
The main requirement was to handle pallets at height without giving up a large amount of warehouse floor area for wide forklift aisles.
The solution combines 1,650 mm narrow-aisle operation, 11,000 mm lifting height, 180° fork rotation, magnetic guidance, camera-assisted visibility and lithium battery power across four seated VNA forklifts.
